George Holmes (51), Sales Representative P&L Southeastern Sales Region and Account Manager for M.L. Campbell lost his 1-1/2 year long battle with cancer and passed away on 3-19-2005. Everyone who knew him admired his dedication and love for P&L along with his sense of humor. He was a respected individual and a good friend for many years. I will be going to the funeral on 3-22-05 in his hometown of Travelers Rest, SC. |

Holey crap a web site with the "old P&Lers. This is better than ever. Bob Miller has about a hundred entries (natch) and Klasa was the first as always with the old North Central "Bunch". This is just like the old days. I was in the middle of a huge lake in Arkansas the other day and Hans Hirchfield even started talking about Tom Hill. I had forgotten Tom and thought Hans was talking about a species of Arkansas fish you know like a Striped Grouper Clinton Fish. Thank goodness Hans cleared the whole matter up over another red pop. Seriously, yea right, life has been and is great and hope all is well for everyone. Thanks for the great years, I know vapex cal red Z30294 still runs in my veins. Bless all that were there to see it when!!! Russ Agard |

I hope everyone is doing fine and enjoying life. I will pass the E mail address on to some of my friends. I promised Tim I would forward some great pictures. I will keep in touch. |

We will be in town Wed - Sat of Thanksgiving week. Any happy hours?? Thanks to Eric for building such a great site. |
| I just heard about the sight from Linda Babcock. What a nice surprize. I'm still at Mark IV and really like my job. Jim and I became parents last October. I can't believe our Ben will soon be a year old! I' ll have to try and make a happy hour real soon. |
|
Well, as you all may or may not know, Pierce & Stevens was sold in August, 1996 to Sovereign Specialty Chemicals Corp., which is essentially a company being built by former executives of Morton with financial backing. Anyway, the financial instution that invested in Sovereign is pulling out. So -- GUESS WHAT? Sovereign Specialty Chemicals is up for sale again. Here we go again with due diligence etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseum! We are hoping for the best, but P & S once again faces the possibility of being phased out of existence. Keep the good thoughts! I'll try to be there on the 14th! KATHY KNOTOWICZ |

Hello everyone, I've really worked hard at finding this sight. I don't give up and I've made it. I'll start by saying how much I miss the old place and all the good people that worked there. After 27 years of my life you just can't walk away. It took me a long time to realize that it was over but life moves on. Starting all over is tough but life is good. After the shut down I sold my house in Buffalo and relocated to Bradenton, Fl. It's 45 miles south of Tampa on the Gulf coast. It's really beautifull with miles of sandy beaches and incredible weather. I'm still a truckdriver and service about 150 miles of Florida's gulf coast. I own a house with a 30ft. in-gound pool and lots of citrus trees. I'm also a grandfather for the second time and still in my 40's, very cool. I would love to hear from anybody who would care to write. I promise I'll write back quickly. Finally, I want to say how much I miss Buffalo and wish I would have found an opportunity up there. I know I would have retired from P&L if the old girl was still there. Sometimes you don't realize how good something is until you lose it. I also miss the good people we had as customers. Take care for now from sunny Florida............Steve |
| the P&L alumni get together on June 22 has been changed to Wednesday, June 23 at 5:30. Same place-Broderick Park Inn on Niagara Street. |

We provide testing and quality assurance services to manufacturers, retailers, importes, distributors, and premium (fast food) companies. I manage the Toys and Premium Division. Yes, we play with toys, for compliance to International regulatory and industry standards. We were resently purchased by Bureau Veritas (a Global QA provider Headquartered in France). They aslo, own BVQI (ISO certification division). For those of you who are still in the paint business, we (ACTS) can do heavy metail analysis on paints and surface coating if any of your customers are asking for documentation. |

Hello All..I really enjoyed viewing the info and photos on this great site! It brings back some fond memories of my days at P&L...especially my time Buffalo. I'm still keeping track of the debits and credits. I now work for a contract office furniture dealership that is based in Wichita, KS. They moved me to Dallas, TX in July 1998 to count some "larger beans." Yes it's true, everything is bigger in Texas. It's boom town USA down here! And no... I'm not a Cowboys football fan. Give me Flutie and the Bills any day. Cheers to you all at the next happy hour! I hope all is well with you and yours. Please drop me an email if you get a chance. |

Free advertising. |

Erik and Tim: thanks for setting up the website! It's a great way for all of us to keep in touch. Too bad the Tonawanda St. site is now level ground. The Administration Bldg. had some beautiful features, inside and out. We will all miss this landmark. |
| Great site, you guys. It's a shame that we have to be thinking about P&L in the past tense, though. Let me know what I can do to help get the e-mail address out there. I know that there are plenty of people who would love to know it's here. |
| I'll bet "SHE" went down hard. Many of the folks outside Buffalo don't even know that the buildings are gone. |
